About Us
The story of Kutch ji Chhap began in 2016.
A social enterprise built to balance the social and commercial aspects of crafts.
Our Story
Four young people working in the Kutch craft sector decided to launch their own enterprise. Through their experience of working with different crafts, they recognised that development organisations could face limitations in doing business because of organisational mandates, processes and other factors.
They believed that a private enterprise model could create additional opportunities for crafts while balancing social and commercial objectives.
Thus, Kutch ji Chhap was born as a Social Enterprise.

Where We Started
With the weave craft of Kutch.
The craft needed greater marketing support because of its dispersed production structure, limited production capacity of individual weavers and lack of market outreach.
Kutch ji Chhap entered the market with an approach focused on connecting the craft with buyers and creating opportunities for scale. It is one of the few B2B models in Kutch that works directly with artisans and buyers with transparency.
